A former stray found underweight and in dire need of some TLC is looking for her forever home after blossoming into a cuddle queen with the loving care of dedicated volunteers.
Dogs Trust Manchester said Cane Corso crossbreed Mira, aged four, has found life tough in kennels and had been spending time in one of the charity's offices to be close to her human helpers.
This has enabled her to learn to relax and discover the joy of playing with toys.
A Dogs Trust spokesperson said 'sweetheart' Mira craves a loving home most of all so she can settle down as she just wants to be near people.
As well as cuddles, Mira also enjoys walks with volunteers and is described as an 'affectionate girl'.
Mira would be happiest as the only dog in the home, but could live alongside small furries if kept separate.
She has started to put on weight and learned impulses around food, which has helped with training.
Dogs Trust said Mira is a foodie with lots of love to give and would do well with patient adopters who can help build her confidence.
Aided by tasty treats, she has mastered 'sit' and is quickly picking up the basics of training, proving just how eager she is to learn.
Mira can live with teens who are comfortable around larger dogs that sometimes forget their size.
She would also love a secure garden where she can soak up the sunshine and relax away from busy roads, as traffic can sometimes feel overwhelming.
She walks great on the lead and loves to be by your side, exploring the world.
With her gentle nature, loving personality, and loyalty, Mira has everything it takes to be a wonderful companion.
All she needs now is a family willing to open their hearts and give her the chance to shine as the superstar that she is.
Lisa Eardley, branch rehoming centre manager, said: ‘"We don’t know much about Mira’s start in life, but since coming into our care, she has shown us how kind and sweet she truly is.
"She really adores being around people and soaking up all the fuss, playtime, and cuddles.
"We’re desperate to find her the forever home she really deserves.
‘"If you are interested in finding out more about Mira or any of the other dogs in our care, pop into our rehoming centre.
"We’re open to the public five days a week, and you don’t need an appointment to visit us, meet dogs looking for homes, get advice or apply to adopt.
"As every dog is unique, finding the perfect match can take anything from a few weeks to several months.
"You only need to apply once every three months, and we’ll do all we can to find the right dog for you, however long it takes"
