All website content on www.whosyourmate.com including any trademarks, original written articles or original rewrites or composites of existing written content used with third-party permission or line with copyright law and in particularly the use of proper citation for partial references to other articles, graphics and photography, and code, unless otherwise stated or clearly implied (such as logos belonging to other companies and organisations in adverts or submitted photography), is the creative work of Who's Your Mate? Pet News™, and breaches will be regarded as copyright infringement with rights reserved to take legal action to protect the creator's intellectual property.

Content including material submitted by users, advertisers or other parties must not be used without express permission from the site or original copyright holder.

Users can download or print site content for personal, non-commercial use only.

Information including interview quotations or images such as photography or art shared with WYMPN for use in articles and other site content is done so on the understanding that usage is indefinite, meaning permanent until otherwise removed by the site owner - i.e. article content stays on the site including any images used.

Site updates and changes

The site may change the terms of use at any time, upon which it will issue notify readers via an article. They were most recently updated on February 28, 2025.

Users and site visitors must not try to hack the site or its constituent parts comprising CMS, frontend, backend, database and email accounts and phone, etc.

The owner of the site retains the right to edit or remove articles and other items on the site, pending this does not conflict with any contracted arrangements.

While the site does not offer any registration and login service at present, this may change in future.

The site's owner reserves the right to transfer responsibility for the user agreement to a third-party. Notice of any such change would be publicised via an article on the site.

Errors, things that go wrong and presentation issues

Who's Your Mate? Pet News™ may vary in appearance depending on the user's browser (e.g. Chrome, Edge etc), and some features may not work on older browsers.

Efforts have been made to ensure good device compatability but unintended issues may arise depending on browser and device.

Although efforts are made to ensure the accuracy of all articles and material on the site, absolute accuracy cannot be guaranteed at all times, although corrections may take place upon notification of an error or inaccuracy where deemed a reasonable request. Errors may occur.

Although efforts will be made to confirm the people, photography and other content or real will be made, with the rise of AI, deepfakes and so on, there may be times when WYMPN falls prey, but will be open and transparent about it.

Similarly for charity appeals and similar content, although articles will be written in good faith that people and appeals featured are genuine, WYMPN is not responsible for whether they are in fact genuine and readers should use their own judgement when deciding whether to support a cause or not.

The internet has many working parts and as such Who's Your Mate? Pet News™ cannot issue any assurance the site will always be available, and there may be times when it is 'down' for maintenance or updates or due to other issues with the internet or hosting services.

Likewise there may be time when outages or power cuts occur, for which we are not responsible or liable, and there may be times when parts or the whole of the website malfunction.

Terms and conditions in relation to the site owner's separate role offering help to save money on their utility bills are separate to this website and will be dealt with during any relevant negotiations.

Who's Your Mate? Pet News Pets Cup

The cup is intended as a bit of fun with no monetary prize or prize intended to be of any substantial material value beyond the satisfaction of winning, but that might change at any point, either while an iteration of the competition is under way or between competitions, and even then I don't anticipate anything of large monetary value.

The site owner reserves the right to disqualify entries for whatever reason, but will aim to be fair in doing so. There is no obligation to disclose any reason for why someone might be disqualified. Possible reasons include but are not limited to suspicions of fraudulent or computer-generated fake entries.

Prizes for the cup may be subject to change and may include pin badges. The owner is not liable for any injuries caused by any winner or other party misusing a winner's pin badge or other memento such as a certificate or small trophy.

Who's Your Mate?™ reserves the right to decide when to count a round's votes and when to switch between active voting mode and non-active mode, or to cancel the contest, but will try to be fair in all scenarios. Doing it on a casual diary basis is just more expedient for now than automating the process.
